ZECTRIX Note 4C is the black, white, red, and yellow four-color e-paper version of Note 4. Except for the display and its display characteristics, it uses the same main controller, memory, wireless connectivity, mechanical design, and peripheral configuration as the monochrome Note 4.
- Display size: 4.2-inch E-ink display
- Resolution: 400 × 300
- Display colors: Black / white / red / yellow
- Display characteristics: Low power consumption, retains content without power, and remains clearly visible in sunlight
- Refresh method: Full-screen refresh; refreshing one image usually takes more than 10 seconds
- Normal refresh behavior: Flickering, color inversion, or visible movement during refresh is normal
- Suitable use cases: Four-color electronic labels, desktop status displays, image-transfer testing, and low-frequency information boards
Note 4C is designed for static content that updates infrequently. It is not suitable for animation, rapid page turning, or real-time interactive interfaces that require immediate feedback.
- Main controller: ESP32-S3
- Memory: 16MB Flash, 8MB PSRAM
- Connectivity: Dual-mode 2.4GHz Wi-Fi + BLE 5.0
- System architecture: Standalone hardware with cloud capabilities, suitable for secondary development
- PCB: Black solder mask
- Battery: 2000+mAh rechargeable battery
- Front button: Voice interaction / confirm button
- Side buttons: Page-turn / function / power buttons
- Port: Type-C, supporting charging and data connections
- Peripherals: Speaker, microphone, NFC, and status indicator
- Mounting: Magnetic backplate
- Overall dimensions: 97mm × 97mm × 8.75mm
The expansion header has six positions. From the first pin indicated by the silkscreen to the last, they are:
| Order |
Definition |
| 1 |
3.3V |
| 2 |
GND |
| 3 |
TX |
| 4 |
RX |
| 5 |
GPIO |
| 6 |
GPIO |
In other words: 3.3V → GND → TX → RX → GPIO → GPIO
The expansion header uses 3.3V logic levels. Before connecting an external module, verify its power supply, voltage levels, and orientation to avoid reverse connection or applying a 5V signal.
- Product positioning: A complete four-color e-paper development board for developers and open-hardware enthusiasts
- Reference firmware: Supports Wi-Fi setup, image transfer, and basic display verification
- Secondary development: Supports feature expansion based on the ESP32-S3 and open interfaces
- Firmware note: Note 4C is not equivalent to the finished monochrome Note 4 application product. Refer to the officially released Note 4C firmware and documentation for the exact firmware capabilities
